The ganglioplegic drug azapyrralidinium has LDqo 44 mg./kg. Lv. in the mouse.
It has a mild but prolongq!d hypotensive action In anaesthatized cats and rabbits
(dosage 0.02-2 mg./kg.). In decerebrated animals the lowering of blood pressure is
less by 25-5W It ham depressant actions an the heart and the CNS. A pronounced
hypothermic effect of central and peripheral origin has been demonstrated. It also
has a depressant action on isolated smooth muscle. When the administration of
asspyrrolidialum is rel"ated at short intervals its effect becomes considerably
