The results of an all.-round experimental verification of the
work porformed by a group of scientists from the USAr Fi3gland,
and Sweden are described. The lecture gives 4 detailed
description of a completely new method of producing the
isotopes of the element 102. Data are given concerning the
properties of two isotopes_ of this element. The half-life of
the isotope of the element 102 with the mass number 254 is
3 Sec, the energy of the 4,-partiole - 8.3 Mev- 34 of the
decays of this isotope axe spontaneous fissionee According to
data at present available, the isotope of the element 102
wilb the mass number 253 haij an c(-particle energy of 0.8 Mev.
