They report their experiences gained during treatment of 159 patients suffering from coronary sclerosis with compounds having different action mac~anISM3. The results in terms of the number or cases treated successfully as well as in terms of the decrease in the serum lipid level were, so far, unsatisfactory. Better results can only be hoped for with the introduction or combined use of drvas with greater poteney and leso side Offoots. 3 Hungarin, 17 Wentsm roforenoes, L-i 1-1 1~ a,- c. i 1 7 r, 4 -5 - L of an~~ t-io4r '71~11L;o!l.~. r; ~ I a1. 0., 1 0', 1 1~ 't i3-LP b'.:LldinF, 't~ "I Vjl"Ot-.ic nve 1:t!i ra lo- :Air7ated. il I t 1-mL was o o na a cc, al -.K 1 W m i'rilv 211 :1 'A"ll il is 511- the h e:A A - t In ':j of the inter- action ne twe, al ';"hn. c-lectrophore- '.r. ln;? ~h:' co'mzdex. Abstract: A new electrophoratic method has been used by the authors Ifor the ,investigation of the complex formation between XP3 and 5-LP. The results are illustrated by photographs. The in vitro interaction, found to be pre- sent, may play a role in the depo5ltion of P-LP in the intima. Changes of the intima, such as accunLLIation of MPS and other physico-chemical fac- tors, may produce local conditions which promote the develapm.,ent of ateroma. 2 Hungarian, 9 Western references. 7" ! r ~.:- -, t. , ~ : I , I i 1 ~ , '. :",:, 2: " .. (Itussian) The author proves first that the angular velocity im- parted to a resting rigid bixly by a single-force blow along a line A B, and of a torque M. about the mass center C, has the component M,1Hp1 normal to ABC (M=mass of body; p=radius of the central ellipsoid of Mation normal to ABC). [A complete determination of this velocity is given in Routh'q Elementary rigid dynamics, 7th ed., Macmillan, London, 1905, Ex. 4, art. 310.] Since M, p are only two numbers, it is clear that the particle- velocity projections orito ABC can be duplicated if the body is reduced to two rigidly-connected particles. If one ()f thq1ji, P. i~4 at 13, A13C being a right angle, thio reduction is clearly unique. The velocity acquired by P will be clearly the same as if it had been free. Its mass, by Joukowsky's definition, is the "body mass reduced to the line of blow". [There is considerable lost Motion In this short paikr.] A. It is proved that the apex of the symmetrical gyroscope moves under the action of forces, giving no moment around the gyroscope axis, in the same manner as a material point o~ the mass A would move over the surface of the Smooth unit sphere under the effect of generalized forces applied to the gyroscope and an additional gyroscopic force Ca XV, where'C = JZ and 15 is the vector of the gyroscope angular velocity around its axis.
