The Central Institute of Labour has organized research work for adapting
light spectacles tothe protection of the Ve-sight of worke:rs engaged in
Industrial work. This research was carried-out by means of an enquiry In
two series: In the first, unsatisfactory types of spectacl,~s were eliminated
ard the best were selected, only such, hawever, as could be produced in.
Poland. Further research dealth with disaovering defects in the spectacles
that had been classified as the bast--and with determining certain improve-
ments which mlCht be Introduced In their oonstruction. Resi~arch and tests
were carried out in a car and lighting alectrotechnical plant among turners,
grinders, slaters and welders. Tests wera made to determine the suitability
for various professions of spectacles and spectacle -appl-i ances for correcting
tEe eye-sight.
