of Various Duration.
Author Domany Sandor, Csaba lare, Szekely Josef.
Orig Pub: Kiserl Orvostnd, 1956, 9, No 1, 48-53.
Abstract: The consumption of 02 by placentas (P) obtained
in the first trimester of normal pregnancies
was of 6.5mm3 per 1 mg/hour. P. in pregnancies
with late toxemia absorbed 3.5mm3. Under fav-
orable hypoxic conditions (20% 02) the consump-
tion of oxygen was lower, and in P. of early
pregnancy was 4.1, normal term. 2.3 and in preg-

The article discusses various mutually contradictory varks concern-

organisms at various temperatures. The results are reported of extensive
experiments carried out at the Institute of kicrobiology and Epidemiology
of the Southeastern USSR [Saratov Institute cof Microbiology and Epidemiology
the Southeastern USSR,, Institute "Mikrob"I using different combinations
'Pt amino acids prepared by the laboratory for the Production of Amino Acids
and Protein Preparations of the Institute of Biochemistry, Academy of Medi-

its composition are indicated. A photomicrolpraph of plague microorganisms
grown on an experimental medium is given. A chart showing the results ob-
