Formation of luminescence centers in ZnS-Cu luminophors occurs
in firing when crystal
structure is also formed. Fusing agent is of great importance in
this process. Ty-
pical ZnS-Cu luminophors are prepared with chloride fusing
agents(chiefly NaCl, but
also BaCl , CaCI,
')v MgCl,3~ KGI, and combinations). Experimented with other
fusing
Xnely, boric aBid, borax, sodium sulfate, double-substituted
sodium phosphate,
agents, n

ABSTRACT:
How to mechanize the loading and unloading of
p:atpart-
ioularly in wint*rwheh the peat is frozen, has al
aye been
&-problem. New modernized railroad care specially
designed
for the transportation of peat and equipped with
pneumatic
devices for the lifting of the lateral walls, as
well'as
caterpillar grab cranes of the PK-2, PK-2M, PK-3 types
for
the loading of peatrare being used. For the unloading of
peat; a machine designed by Kovalev and already introduced
at
the Bryanskaya i Shaturakaya GRES (Bryansk and Shatura
GRES)
in recommended. In 1956/57 a device for the defrost-
ing of
peat care was constructed and partly tested at the
TETs No 4.
