The findings of Koshtoyant et al. on the ii nportance of Sit groijps in the rhythrr ic
activity of isolated frog muscle were conlirmed. Methlonine culphoxide (1) and
methionin4e sulphoximine (11) activated (rcit muscle which wait Inexcitable an a re-
sult of previous prolonXed stimolation (it did not respond to indirect stimulation on
