oil. Under certair conditions the filter in the tank of the h;rdrosyetein allows
wifiltered oil to (law into the ta3k. 'Since 1963 the Odessa Branch of the NATI
(State All-Union S,:ientific Reccar-.,h Institute of Tractors) has conducted studies
on the filtration of oil in hydros;rstems and have come to the conclusion that the
existing valve unniiaessarily allowit w%filtered oil to penetrate into the syutem.
A new device for the valve was devolo~ed which regulates the valve and prevents un-6
warranted operatioxi of the system on imfiltered oil. The author descril>!s the nev,

economic orgunisations and the scientific elaboration of
rosearch work depend on the quality of the mea3uremen*.u
mentioned in the title. The u.)thods used do not meet -the
roquirements. The author has no data on Soviet or foreign
ro3earch work in this field. lie gives a critical survey of
the methods used at prjsent. 3ince 1957 several maritime
3tations of the Littoral UGMS ~Primorskoye upravleniya
gidro-meteorologiCh03koy sluz'iby) have been engaged for the
collection of material. Comparative temper~.,.ure measurements
were carried out in whole zone of navie~_ti:,n in the
Yaponskoye and Okhotokoye Jeu and in the northwestern part
of the Pacific (Tikhiy ckean). It was founci that neither

methodically more justified if they 0permit the reading of the

ABIMUCT: Tho article gives a method by which the prelim-
inary design of a synchronous alternator of usual construction
.for loading with rectifiers can be mado. The so-called type
power output is usod as a determining value for tbo machine
dosign, that value being determined from the losses in the
winding and in the iron. The article gives a general view of

tion of mineral fortilizei 3. In order to make such coils less brittle, the personnel of the
VNIIPT'ikliimmash designod and built a reactor incorporating welded structures from two-
layer tubes with an (outshle diameter, 32 mm; walls 7. 5 mm thick). The -6hicker outer layer

ABSTRICT A control under influ,3ace of the derivation of a function
of thi) non-matohing leads in a number of cases to an in-
creaso in the stability i-eserve and to an improvement in the
obser-ration. The process of these influences cin be clarified
if on the plane of the 3omplex variable (p) there are obger-
ved the laws of motion of the roots of the characteristl-^

the yield of photosi-,imulated exoelect-ron emission was investigated using forro-
electric triglycinet~ulfata shesto 1.r-1 mn thick. Polarization vms produced by an
electric field of a'.out 4000 v/cm with the electrodeo mounted on the (010)
surfaces. The reou-ts are shown in Fif,,. i of the Enclosure. Curve a was vbtained
for the unpolarized sample and curves b, and ol for the illuminated surface chareed
ne,-atively and posii;lvely, respectively. Cu--ves b2 and 02 are the correepcinding
results for a repesiad cycle. It ia uncertain whether the results are due to a
decrease of the work function conditioned by the domain orientatio4s in the crystal
or to a direct filli:ig-up by electrons of the crystal surface levels. The authors
