TEXT: Results are given of measuring the breakdown nH (PN) coll-
ector-emitter voltage as a function of collector current of samples
of transistor triodes type 66A (P6A) and n3B (P3V) (the brcakdovni
voltage is the voltage at which aic -)oD). The character of this

dependence is the same as that for the common base configuration.
The breakdown collector voltage has been analyzed as a function of
the resistance in the input circuit of the transistor triode. %-'ith

the decrease of the d.c. input resistance the brealWown collector
voltage increases but remains always smaller than that of the com-
mon base configuration. The ambient temperature dependence of the
breakdown collector voltage is given. The behavior of the break-
down voltage has been analyzed as a function of the input d.c. res..
istance and of the reverse bias at the input. With iiicreasii-W,
reverse bias at the input the collector breakdoini voltage goes
through a maximum. With the increase of the d.c. input resistance
(in the absence of reverse bias) the collector breakdown volLage
decreases. The increase of the collector break-doxni voltage =1 of
the maximum allcwablc ambient in case of a small reverse bias is
explained by the extraction of the charge carriers from the base
region. The results obtained are discussed. 2 references. ror

ABSTRACT: This authors conaider a possible circuit for extending the use of transis-
tors in power output stages. The basic element of this circuit is a silicon contr*l-
led rectifier shunted by a transistor (see figure). The rectifier and transistor are
ungated in theinitial state when there am no control signals fed to the control elec
trode of the diode and the base of the transiator. When a positive pulse Is fed to
the control elioctrode of rectifier Is there in an. avalance transition from the closed
to the open state which lasts until a negativt pulse to the base of transistor 2 trig-
gers this elewnt, The Im internal realstence of the transistor shunts the diode

VG-50-30t YO-50-50, PVK-100, and VK-20o powor diodes operated at frequencies
100--5000 cps are reported. It is found that the recti"g properties of the diodes
deteriorate with highor (particularly 1000 cps and over) frequencies; heavier
currents make the rectifying characteristics still worse. The rectifying character-

Abstract A dynardc study of the condition of the cardiovascular
systera in 17 patients With acute leuk-)sis (AL) and in
43 patients with chronic lcukosis (CL) demonstratc-Cl that

of unipolarity in the conductivity of 2Cr2O7. The etup for experimental work

ABSTRACT: The tests were made with single crystals having an F-
center concentration -10 16 cm73 with an aim at checking on the
theoretical deductions of E. Adirovich (Fiz. tv. tela v. 3, no. 7,
2048, 2050, 1961). The measurements were made with plates having
area -1--2 cm,2and thickness -0.15 cm, using barrier contacts.to
prevent the injection of the carriers from the electrodes into the

crystal (mica liners). Illumination during the polarization was
with monochromatic 546-ran light. The charge was measured by the
depolarization method, with the photoelectret illuminated with
the undecomposed light from a mercury lamp and with integration of
the depolarization current. The time variation of the photoelec-
tret charge was found to be exponential. The reciprocity law was
fulfilled over the entire range of light intensity employed. The
charge density was found to be linear in the polarizing-field in-
tensity. It is concluded on the basis of these results, and also
results by others, that the kinetics of formation of the photo-
electret state in colored alkali-halide crystals, as well as their
depolarization, are in accord with the deductions of the phenomeno-

ABSTFACT., The author proves by experiment that the state of caqing
in water-injeetion wells can be determined by the rate of
bottom-hole pressure restoration following a momentary
cb.ange in the operating conditions of a water-injection
well. Fig. 1 shows the apparatus used by the author in
his experiments. It consists of a sensitive manometer for
recox-4ing pressure and a meter for recording water input.

to t1me. If a casing is in good condition when the water is
fed into the producing stratum, the bottom-hole pressure

changes with the momentary change in operating conditions and
remaina conRtant during the entire period of operation under
these conditions (Fig- 3). Indicator curves (Fig. 4) usually
appear arched. This shqws that the cracks and cavities at the
fluid absorption area remain constant in size and that the flow
of flx,.!.d throiA&h them Is or a nonlinear nature. If a producing
stratum contains natural cracks which expand with water input
rates are high, but upon changing to lower input rates these
cracks will close and the pressure will change slowly. Under
these r,-onditlons,
.A. therefore, it is eas to establish wliether
or not the cas!mg is leakproof (Fig- 5~. In 1954, the author
in cooperation with geologists from the pressure maintenance
section (teekh PPD) of the Petroleum Production Administration
of the Tuymazy Petroleum Industry (NrU Tuymazaneft') made many
st-adies of water-injection wells using the method described above.
The results disclosed leaky aLsihgs in four wells at the NPU
Tuymazaneftl and in one water-injection well at the Petroleum
Produe-tion Administration of the Oktyabrlslr-4y Petroleum Industry
(NFU Oktyabrlskneft'). The author concludea that his method is
au.itable for casing leakage control in water-injection wells
wl,"-hout shutting off the water injection. When using this method
only the leak in the easing will have to be determined and it will
not be necessary to Investigate all the well& by expensive geo-
phymical. methods as is done at prpiAent. CaEinF

leakage tests are made from a cluster pumping station equipped
with sensitive manometers by one operator in 1 1/2 - 2 hrs.
At present this method is extensively used at the NPU's of
Tuymazaneft' and Olctyabr,akneft'.
