"Comment" for DDA Exchange
1. We are presently gathering materials to be included
in the publication DDA Exchange which is distributed to our
Directorate careerists in the Metropolitan area on a quarterly
basis. In the past, we have had a senior official of the
Agency or this Directorate contribute the lead article,
"Comment." The subject is left to the discretion of the
writer. Some who have written for the DDA Exchange include
Admiral Turner, Messrs. Bush, Malanick, McMahon, Knoche, Wells
and Dirks. Attached are the last two editions of the publica-
tion, including Mr. Wells' and Mr. Dirks' comments.
2. Because the relationship between the Directorate of
Administration and the National Foreign Assessment Center is
closely coupled, we would be pleased if you would prepare the
"Comment" for our next issue. If you accept this invitation,
may we have your permission for use of your portrait with the
"Comment." Manuscripts for the April 1978 issue should be
submitted to the Managing Editor, Headquarters, on 25
or before 3 March 1978.
3. Should your schedule or other considerations not per-
mit you to present an article at this time, you may certainly
elect to contribute in a subsequent issue. Would you please
let me know?
