developments in the MTN relevant to LDCs and review technical assistance

Fourth World Tin Conference (Kuala Lumpur). Pricing policy will be an
important topic.
International Bauxite Association (Georgetown, Guyana). Attempt to demise
strategy for boosting export tax on bauxite.
Iron Ore Exporters (Geneva). The Caracas Group will discuss formation of
a formal organization, establishment of a price floor, export quotas, and
price escalation clauses in long-term contracts.
5-16 UN World Food Conference (Rome). To address world food production and
availabilities.
19-22 UNCTAD Committee on Tungsten, Eighth Session (Geneva). To excmine
market conditions, ways to stabilize prices, and establishment of a price floor.
24 71st Session of the International Wheat Council (London). Will decide
whether current international agreement should be extended another year
or revised.
26-27 International Symposium on S-a Fisheries Law Meeting (Szczecin, Poland).
To discuss economic and legal aspects of fishing fleet operations.

9-13 US-Republic of China Textile Treaty Negotiations resume (Taipei). Treaty
will bring existing bilateral agreement regulating ROC textile sales to the
United States into line with the multi-fiber agreement reached in Geneva.
9-14 Australian Deputy Prime Minister Cairns visits the United States. Agenda
probably will include foreign participation in development of Australian
natural resources and in Australian industry.
13-16 US-Hong Kong Textile Treaty Negotiations resume (Hong Kong). Treaty will
bring existing bilateral agreement regulating Hong Kong textile sales to the
United States into line with the multi-fIbe:e agreement reached in Geneva.
18-22 President Ford visits Japan. Meeting with Japanese Prime Minister Tanaka
will include discussions of bilateral economic relations and irternational
issues.
