4. NIE-11, "Soviet Intentions in the Current Situation,"
published 2 December.
5. "A Recommended U.S. Policy Toward Soviet and Soviet
Orbit Official Representatives on Duty in the U.S."
Report of Ad Hoc Committee of 20 October 1950 accepted,
with approval of Recommendations submitted therein.
Projects in Process
6. NIE-1+, "Soviet Course of Action with. Respect to Germany
through 1951." Initial draft under review by ONE prior to circu-
lation to IAC representatives.
7. NIE-5, "Indochina: Current Situation and Probable Develop-
ments." Under review by ONE prior to a consideration of it by the
Board.
8. NIE-6, "Iran's Position in the World Balance of Power."
Terms of reference being revised in accordance with IAC action de-
fining the nature of a national intelligence estimate. (See para.
6 b, IAC-D-7)
9. NIE-8, "Greece's Position in the World Balance of Power."
Terms of reference have been drafted.. Awaiting contribution by
State.

Terms of reference being revised in accordance with IAC action de-
fining the nature of a national intelligence estimate. (See para.
6 by IAC-D-7).
11. NIE-10, "China." Terms of reference revised in accordance
with action of IAC at their meeting on 29 November. ONE to con-
sider terms on 5 December.
12. NIE-12, "Reaction to use of Chinese Nationalist Troops in
Korea, (including an estimate of their effectiveness)." IAC repre-
sentatives' draft due in ONE 5 December, for preparation of draft
for consideration by IAC representatives.
13. NIE-13, "Future Military Capabilities of the Western
European Countries in the Light of Present NATO Programs." ONE
revising draft in accordance with comments of the Board.
14. NIE-14, "Importance of Iranian and Middle East Oil to
Western Europe." Draft revisions being completed. Meeting with
interdepartmental ad hoc committee for consideration of draft will
be scheduled this week.
