MEMORANDUM FOR: Director of Central Intelligence
SUBJECT: Item No. 4 of the IAC Agenda (IAC-A-68)
"Critical National Intelligence Objectives
With Respect to-Communist China"
1. If the military services feel they really need this,
we should probably oblige them -- although from the CIA point
of view it would be a useless exercise.
2. If it is done, it would be aimed primarily or
exclusively at OSO. It is, therefore, suggested that the
Interagency Priorities Committee, which is chaired by OSO,
be asked to prepare a draft for IAC consideration.
