Intelligence Support to Policy Makers on the Taiwan Situation The Chairman stressed the very great need for the intelligence community to insure that there be a complete flow of intelligence on the Taiwan-Offshore Island situation to the policy makers and that for this purpose there should be a sharpening of collection efforts, a faster handling of intelligence in Washington, and more coordination in the critical area itself. He noted that the Director of the Indications Center has been requested to prepare a sharper collection guide for the area in question for consideration by the Watch Committee of the IAC on 16 March.
