To amend the Privacy Act of 1974 and the Communications
Act of 1934 to provide for the protection of telephone
records, and for other purposes.
1 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representa-
2 tives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,
3 SHORT TITLE
4 SECTION 1. This Act may be cited as the "Federal Pri-
5 vacy of Telephone Records Act".
6 FINDINGS AND PURPOSE
7 SEC. 2. (a) The Congress finds that-
