2. The DDI would like to have the Intelligence
lc~8ct on our
Directorate offices examine thhePossible
business assuming the proposed system
and functions along the lines sketched above. What
possibilities or assists do you see coming out of the
availability of such a system? Row would it affect the
responsibilities you now have? What problems of a sub-
stantive or organizational nature do you forsee? What
guidance or requirements would you like to give to the
system designers at this time to enhance the potential use-
fulness of the system to you as an intelligence producer?
3. In the interest of getting on with the job, I do
not propose to call a meeting at this time. Rather I
would like to have each office submit its views to me
in writing by 31 August. With the office views in, I will
decide whether a meeting for further discussion is desirable.
In the meantime, if you have any questions
hesitate to contact me.
