1. Progress reports on. tasks assigned by DCI/DDCI:

2. Items/events of interest:
c. On 27 May the Director of Communications met with Mr. Donald Latham,
.Deputy Under Secretary of Defense for Research and Engineering, at the Pentagon.

f. A revised agreement covering proposed improvements to Route 123
in connection with the new building construction was signed and returned to
the Virginia Department of Highways and Transportation.
h. The 1983 running of the Defense Industries Course began on
25 May. The second running of Communism in the Contemporary World will begin
on 6 June.
i. During 1 - 13 June the Chief of Testing, Language School, is
assisting in the design of a new oral
proficiency test.
j. Representatives from the Classification Review Division (CRD),
Office of Information Services, have identified approximately six linear feet
of records relating to the establishment and operation of Radio Free Europe
and Radio Liberty at the Franklin D. Roosevelt Presidential. Library.
Arrangements have been made to transfer the material to facilities at NARS
headquarters for a more detailed review by CRD personnel.
k. The Industrial Security Branch, Office of Security, hosted an
industrial security seminar on 1 and 2.June attended by 32 representatives
from Agency contractor facilities.
3. Significant activities anticipated during the coming week.
b. On 7 June the DDA will attend the graduation exercises of the
National War College at Fort McNair.
c. Representatives of the Office of Logistics, the DDA, and ADDA
will visit the National Security Agency (NSA) on 8 June to review the
construction of the new building at NSA.
d. The DDA and other Directorate of Administration personnel will
meet with Congressman Frank R. Wolf, Fairfax County officials, and the
Commissioner of the Virginia Highway Department on 9 June to provide them
with an updated briefing on our plans for construction on the Headquarters
compound.
e. On 9 June the DDA will visit with alumnae of the Professional
Women in a Managerial Environment Course to review and discuss the
effectiveness of the course.
