AD?-Related Savings Resulting from Occupancy of
New Building
1. in responding to your request for estimated dollar
savings resulting from the construction of a new building on the
Eeadauartars site, we have assumed that all components presently
in leased space would move to the Langley ccoaound.
2. The need for CUP to operate Data Access Centers (DACa)
in outlying buildings would be elitainated, thereby freeing up
eight outer operator positions (our present staffing lovel is
remote DACs). This will save approximately $200,090 in personal
services annually. In addition substantial savinc in

3. For all tenants in the new building (CDP included), we
est!aate a cost avoidance of approximately $2,003 per new
tercinal installation resulting from the elimination of the need
to T'rl-? T such terminals and provide for their optical
ieolation.
4. Less tangible savings but very real benefits accrue frog
the improved reliability in the delivery of computer services to
a single building. Also, our responsiveness in servicing
terninal problems can he improved significantly as a result.
