Approved For Release 2004/05/05 : CIA-RDP85B00803R000200080014-0 OCS PERSONNEL RECRUITMENT Statement to be included in Recruiters' Handbook on behalf of OCS The 0 C S operates the CIA Computer Center. It furnishes computer systems analysis and design, programming, and equipment operations support on an Ag8ncy-wide basis. Advanced ADP equipment and techniques are employed in a wide range of applications. These include scientific computing (e.g., orbital mechanics, trajectory analysis, cartography, and signal analysis); management data processing (8.g., fiscal, logistics, and perpecnel); special data manipulation, including statistical analysis and modeling; and information storage and retrieval. In support of these applications, we develop and apply advanced computer systems techniques such as teleprocessing, multi-tasking, add time-sharing. Facili- ties include large general-purpose computers, remote interrogation and display devices, high-precision plotters, analog/digital equipment, and special-purpose processors. We encourage career development in the information sciences, training for advancement, and active participation in pro- fessional groups. Memo to Office of Personnel from D/CS, Charles A.
