 1. John McMahon has instructed me to establish an:7 chair an N?AC
Economic Advisory board. The Board would be comprised of high level.
economic experts from both the private and public sector. The ;3oard
would serve to review NFAC's current and future work in econaiucs, energy,
civilian industry, trade, and finance. It is unlikely that the full
Boar3 would be convened following an introductory treetiny. Subsequent
meetings would be focused on specific areas and presumably would attract
only those nxmnbers having ,.n interest in the t_>pics under discussion.
I expect no more than four such meetings annually.
2. I plan to send letters of invitation under the UCI's ';,.matrn
later this month. I have attached a tentative list of public and private
individuals who I think would be able and willing to cooperate with us.
I would appreciate your suggestions for possible additAnal or altr`rrte.tivo
manbership. I would also appreciate your agenda suggestions for the
intrcdua-tory session arid your suggestions for future sub-group sessions.
3. As things now stand I would like to hold the inttodoctory
