2. The followicg procedures r,ho'uld be followed to obtain motor gasoline. These
procedures apply to all types of motor gasoline.
a. Activitii =, should continue to place and make every effort to obtain motor
gasoline from ..urient DFSC contracts or local purchase contracts. Where current
suppliers are also base period suppliers (as defined in paragraph 1 above), they must
deliver. 11tea current DFSC contractors are not base period suppliers and the contractor
d,, rs not deliver the following action should be taken:
(1) obtain a certificate in writing from the DFSC contractor that no surplus
gasoline is av-allable;
(2) attempt to obtain the product competitively (locally);
(3) if no iruduct is avaiiahle for local procurement, obtain the product

tl., product, the default procedur, need not be followed. If the base supplier is not
k,- n, activities should contact DFSC---PPA for assistance (Autovon 284-7516, 7580, or
7-+25, or area code 202-274-75 L6, 7580, or 7425.)
b. In the event the base period suppliers refuse to deliver or you do not have a
1aLe period supplier, the appropriate DOE Regional Office sholld be notified through
appropriate chann.,Is so necessary action can be taken to obtain a source. For emei';en-
.:ics, the State Energy Offices can he contacted and will. assign suppliers, in accordance
,rIth 10 CFR 205.210 and 211.17.
