1. SIGNIFICANCE: SELF-PROPELLED ANTIAIRCRAFT HEAVY MACHINE GUN IS
POSSIBLY IN PRODUCTION AT THIS PLANT. (SWN)
2. REMARKS: ONE NET-COVERED, SELF-PROPELLED ANTIAIRCRAFT HEAVY
MACHINE GUN (SPAAHMG) AND SPAAHMG CHASSIS APE IN THE MAJOR
OVERHAUL DEPOT. THE PRESENCE OF THIS NEW WEAPON SYSTEM
INDICATES THAT THE SPAAHNG IS POSSIBLY IN PRODUCTION AT
KUSONG. THE HEAVY MACHINE GUN IS MOUNTED ON A T-62 CHASSIS,
WHICH IS ALSO PRODUCED AT THIS PLANT. (SWN)
THIS INDIGENOUSLY PRODUCED SPAAHMG, WHICH IS SIMILAR TO THE
SOVIET ZSU-23/4 SPAAHMG, WAS FIRST OBSERVED AT NAM PO RADAR
ASSEMBLY PLANT F_ j WHERE THE SYSTEM WAS PROBABLY
UNDERGOING COMPATIBILITY TESTS WITH THE DRUM TILT RADAR. (SWN)
KUSONG TANK PLANT IS 1 NM NORTHEAST OF YEJ OL-LI, 5 NM
NORTH-NORTHWEST OF KUSONG, AND 26 NM SOUTHEAST OF THE NORTH
KOREA-CHINA BORDER. (SWN)
