1. SIGNIFICANCE: SIGNIFICANT DAMAGE HAS OCCURRED TO THE PETROLEUM
STORAGE AREA (SWN)
2. REMARKS: AT LEAST ONE LARGE STORAGE TANK, ONE SPHEROIDAL TANK,
AND TWO SMALLER TANKS HAVE BEEN DESTROYED. ONE OF THE SMALLER
TANKS APPEARS TO BE SMOLDERING, AND PROBABLE FIRE FIGHTING
EQUIPMENT IS ON THE ROAD NEARBY. PART OF THE FENCE AROUND THE
STORAGE AREA HAS ALSO BEEN DESTROYED. AT LEAST ONE MEDIUM TANK
AND THREE SMALLER TANKS IN THE SAME AREA APPEAR TO HAVE
SUSTAINED SOME DAMAGE. THREE MEDIUM TANKS IMMEDIATELY WEST OF
THIS AREA APPEAR TO HAVE SUSTAINED MINOR DAMAGE. ONE PROBABLE
STORAGE BUILDING, ONE PROBABLE PUMP SHED, AND ONE SMALL SHED
HAVE ALSO BEEN DESTROYED. A LONG STORAGE BUILDING NEAR THE
SPHEROIDAL TANK MAY ALSO HAVE SUSTAINED SOME DAMAGE. PROBABLE
POL TRUCKS AND OTHER VEHICLES ARE OUTSIDE THE FACILITY. HEAVY
HAZE PRECLUDES AN ACCURATE ASSESSMENT OF ADDITIONAL DAMAGE;
HOWEVER, NO DAMAGE IS DISCERNIBLE TO THE POL PIER, THE LARGE
CRANE, OR TO THE PORT FACILITIES. TWO UNIDENTIFIED MERCHANT
SHIPS HAVE DEPARTED THE PORT (SWN)
