1. SIGNIFICANCE: TWO TUBE ARM ACQUISITION RADARS WERE
CONFIRMED FOR THE FIRST TIME IN THE SA-11 UNIT AT MINSK HQ
MTZ DIV/AB AL 1/SA-6 FAC (SWN)
2. REMARKS: THE SA-11 UNIT WAS DEPLOYED TO MINSK ON 16 JULY
AS PART OF THE CONVERSION OF THE 120TH GUARDS MOTORIZED
RIFLE DIVISION TO A NEW TYPE PROBABLE ARMY CORPS. THIS
COVERAGE PROVIDED THE BEST LOOK TO DATE OF THE SA-11
TRANSPORTER-ERECTOR-LAUNCHER AND RADAR, THE TUBE ARM RADAR,
AND THE SA-11 COMMAND AND CONTROL VEHICLE. (SWN)
ADDITIONAL EQUIPMENT INCLUDED TWO FLAT FACE B ACQUISITION
RADAR SETS, ONE LONG TRACK ACQUISITION RADAR, ONE KROSS 131
(SAM ASSOCIATED) VEHICLE, THREE BTR-60 PA (COMMAND) ARMORED
PERSONNEL CARRIERS (APC). AND ONE BTR-70 APC. (SWN)
