Senate Select Committee on Intelligence_(SSCI)
Today, 6 November, the SSCI staff was briefed by
Division/DDO, on the 2 November Presidential Finding.

On Monday, 9 November, OTS, will meet with Herb Kline,
SSCI staff, regarding meteor burst communicaions and now they can be applied
to agent communications from the field.
On Tuesday, 10 November, the Deputy Director of Central Intelligence will
brief the SSCI on the negative effects of the Freedom of Information Act on
U.S. foreign intelligence operations. F7
Senate Foreign Relations Committee (SFRC):
Today, 6 November, Bill Ashworth, SFRC staff, and Dick Anderson, of
Representative Les Aspin's (D., WI) staff, were briefed byF _j
Office of Soviet Analysis (OSA)/National Foreign Assessment Center (NFAC),
on ovie air defense capabilities.
On Tuesday, 10 November, Director, Office of African and
Latin American Analysis (GALA , Will brief Senator Edward Zorinsky (D., NE)
and SFRC staff member Barry Sklar on Cuban activities in Central America.

will begin mark-up of the FY-82 Defense Appropriations Bill.

On Monday, 9 November, Chief, NE Div` ion DDO, will brief
PSCI staff on the 2 November Presidential Finding.
On Monday, 9 November, the HPSCI staff will be briefed by
OSWR/NFAC, on Soviet air defense capabilities.

will meet with John Stein, DDO, regarding a sensitive collection subject.
