CHAIRMAN, NSCIC WORKING GROUP
SUBJECT: Intelligence Production Studies
Attached for Working Group consideration are suggestions
for three studies of intelligence production. I have discussed
these with Andy Marshall, whose comments are also appended. I
agree with Andy that it may be best to start with the study on
Yugoslavia and do the ones on Chile and NSSM 108 later in the
year.
I have made some changes in response to Andy's comments,
but I feel, as Andy does, that before the studies actually get
under way there will be a need to spell out the methods and
issues in more detail. I suggest that this be done by the study
groups when they are formed.
