SUBJECT: Follow-Up Questions: 4 March Briefing Before the
HPSCI

1. Per my 23 March conversation with I am 25X1
forwarding a copy of the 15 March letter from HPSCI airman Boland re Subject,.
Boland's letter asks for, among other things, responses.to an enclosed list
of questions. We have reviewed the questions and are of the opinion that a
number of them may best be answered by officers. In. that category, we 25X1
have identified the following questions. , 2, 3, 7, 9, and 10. We'd
appreciate your prompt attention to this matter. You will note Mr. Boland's
24 March deadline which has been extended per HPSCI Staff Director. We
are attempting to complete our answers internall by noon on Friday, 26 March.
That--obviously--would not be appropriate Since we'd like to send 25X1
the responses to the questions back to the ommi ee in a single package,
we request expedited consideration of the questions. If feasible, please
send the responses to me via courier (Room 7B24, CIA) by COB Wednesday,
31 March.
2. I would like also to draw your attention to paragraph three of the
Chairman's letter, wherein he requests a "photocopied set of the viewgraphs
shown to the Committee" on 4 March. Since the information on those graphs
is product, we defer to in deciding whether or not to fulfill the
Comm M ee's request, Please advise as to your decision so we can incorporate
it into our official response to the Committee.
3. I apologize for the tight deadline and thank you sincerely for
your assistance in responding to the HPSCI questions.
