MEMORANDUM FOR: Director of Central. Intelligence
Deputy Director of Central Intelligence
FROM : SA/DCI/IA
SUBJECT . Proposed Agenda Items for Breakfast Meeting with Secretary
Haig on 22 June
1. The following items have been proposed thus far for your breakfast
meeting Tuesday morning.
-- Lebanon. In light of the President's meeting with Prime Minister
Begin on Monday, I believe you will want to devote considerable
time to discussing our options in the Middle East, particularly
the future of the Palestinians and the future Lebenese Government.
-- Post-Falklands Argentina and Latin America. Given the surrender
in Stanley and the change of government in Buenos Aires, you may
wish to assess what the fallout is likely to be for the U.S., both
in South and Latin America.
2. This is a slim agenda, but the first item will probably be dominating
your thinking in any case. The only other item which comes to my mind is the
START NSC scheduled for Wednesday. There are no apparent big issues, however,
which would seem to warrant discussion between you and Secretary Haig.
3. Please let me know if there are any other items or issues you wish to
have on the agenda.
