MEMORANDUM FOR: Director of Central Intelligence
Deputy Director of Central Intelligence
SUBJECT: Topic for Breakfast Meeting with the
Secretary of Defense
1. NFAC is in dire need of information on the strength and
capabilities of NATO's air and air defense forces. We have struck
out at our level in trying to get this information from DoD; I
believe the issue should now be joined with Secretary Weinberger.
2. The attached talking points will explain what we want
concerning NATO air forces and why we want it. Any progress you
can make will be greatly appreciated. II
John N. McMahon
