DD/A/ODP Weekly Report
Week of 27 May - 3 June 1977
I. Major Activities During the Past Week: STATINTL
A. Support to the DCI
DCITASK - Automation of two tasks for the DCI. The
development phase for Task II (the scheduling of DCI
activities) has been completed. Customer acceptance
testing is commencing. The final documentation will be
completed upon acceptance of the system.
B. Support to ORPA
OCISOVIET - A file of elite Soviet personalities
supported by GIM II. Modifications to this special data
base system were completed. Enhancements were made to
provide the capability to analyze the career development
of members of Soviet political elites. (J. Porter)
C. Support to OSR
AD-STUDY - Project feasibility study performed by ODP.
The version of the Locational Information System (LIS)
which processes on the VM/370 interactive system was
completed. The LIS is a geographic system which allows
the display of maps, installation, and unit data for
strategic forces on the Tektronix graphic display STATINTL
terminal.
D. Support to OD&E
STATINTL
ICODE - Inventory Control System in A set
of enhancements for the OD&E ICODE and requisition systems
(.RECODE) have been completed. A preprocessor was developed
to allow input of catalog data to both ICODE and RECODE
from a single input data stream.
E. Support to ODP
SPECLE3 - Develop the necessary software to implement
the current SPECLE system on the Microdata mini-computer.
The implementation of the SPECLE system on the Microdata

Reality Mini-computer has been completed. A final
report on this project prepared by the Keystone
contractor is being distributed by ORD. A follow--up
briefing to CIB/OS will be scheduled.

Support to OF
1.
PAYROLL - The Agency payroll system. We completed
the funds code/W-2 code compatibility work order
requirements, and will 1 grams into
production this week.
2.
GAS - General Accounting System.
Ninty-five
changes were made to the GAS IV Phase programs
to accommodate Version-3 Systems software. These
are scheduled for testing and implementation on STATINTL
3 June 1977.
A special update of the obligation Data Base was
made to change the Expense Code of 47 obligation
records. This was requested by OF in Speed
Letter DBMB-4/77. STATINTL
3. AGEPAY - Preparation of Agents' payroll records
and entries for unvouched payroll. A meeting was
held to discuss the bi-weekly pay cycle for the
AGEPAY system. The major impact appeared to be.
an increased workload for Production Division
personnel. Additional meetings will be. necessary
before a recommendation is made.
G. Support to OP

PERSIGN - Integrated Personnel Information System.
We have orally received our first major Change Control
Request. We had planned on four people working on two
sub-system projects (PERHOSP and PERINSUR) and developing
an on-line GIMS solution. However, OP has requested that
the two projects be combined. OP, at the request of the
Audit Staff, has additionally requested a feasibility
study be conducted to evaluate the use of a mini-computer
for these sub-systems. OP is forwarding a 930 to request
STATINTL H. Support to OTR
TRAIN - Management of information on Agency sponsored
training provided to staff personnel. we have
completed installation on the ODP VM system of a set of
schedulin ro rams. User training has also been pro-
vided.

I. Training During the Past Week:
STATINTL 1. A one-day contracted course, RAMIS II Conversion,
was completed by 14 students.
2. A two-day contracted course, RAMIS Advanced
Topics, was completed by 15 students.
