Week of 28 October - 4 November 1977
I. Major Activities During the Past Week: (U)
A. Support to OTS (U)
(U) 1. AD-STUDY Project feasibility study performed
by ODP. We completed and provided to OTS a
feasibility study addressing a most likely
path modeling problem. OTS accepted our
recommendated approach for development of the
model, and we are cur
its detailed design. A&AWMM
(U) 2. TISIPS - Technical Services Interim Support
Information Processing System. A set of
modifications was requested to be made to the
TISIPS software. These are expected to be
completed within a. week. The second monthly
processing cycle should also be completed at
that time. The computer services request will
be closed out upon the successful processing
of the monthly processing.
C. Support to OF (U)
(U) 1. GAS General Accounting System. The General
Ledger Monthly Update program was changed to
increase the allowable number of Obligation
Reference Number (ORN's) for any employee
from 100 to 300.
All Quarterly Reports were. produced. These
were delayed due to the Fiscal Year-End Closing.

The programming and testing was completed for
a new version of the Daily General Ledger 1199
Cash Report. A copy of the report will be
given to OF for review. Upon approval it will
be incorporated into the daily process.
Maintenance was performed on the obligation
Data Base to remove 1500 records with a zero
amount of obligations.
(U) 2. PAYROLL - The Agency payroll system. We began
W-2 system modifications. CEMLOC - Payroll
interface programs were executed to produce
preliminary reports. Results were tolerable
(compared to other years). - only four missing
SSN's, 103 staff missing addresses and 65
contract missing addresses.
(U) .3. ACTUARY - Actuarial reports on the Agency
retirement system. The erroneous data items
on the master tape have been corrected. The
report programs were modified to produce the
appropriate classification as requested by
the customer. The 1973 actuary reporting
been successfully processed.
D. Support to IPS (U)
(U) IPSLOG - Information Privacy Staff Log. The
request to automate the IPSLOG has been completed.
Approximately 1800' person hours and $11,000 in computer
cost were expended in this effort. The IPSLOG system is
supported by GIMS. )

Maintenance of and enhancements to
Miklid" plotters, and 2250 support package.
A demonstration of the on-line cartographic mapping and
editing capabilities. using the Tektronix terminal was
presented to personnel from is planning
to convert from the IBM 225 display terminal to Tektronix
display terminal. Additional support is expected to be
requested in this area. 25X1A
F. Training During the Past Week: (U)
(U) 1. A three-day course, EDP Orientation, was
completed by 24 students.

(U) 2. attended the monthly GIM-II Users
Group meeting at the FBI building on
2 November 1977.
(U) 3. conducted the ODP portion of the
Survey of Intelligence Information Systems.
II. Problems: (U)
1. The 1st meeting on the Hospitalization and Insurance
requirements review was held. Only a small portion
was reviewed and four problems surfaced that require
further investigation and in some cases OP policy
decisions. These problems need to be resolved before
the feasibility paper is considered completed.
2. Transmission errors substantially limited the use of
the Delta Data terminals at Building during the
past week.
