The U.S. General Accounting office is presently
studying the Federal Information Processing Standards
(FIPS) Program. As part of our study, we would like
to mail a questionnaire to individuals in your agency.
The purpose of this questionnaire is to obtain
information about the development, implementation, and
effectiveness of automated data processing standards
within the Federal Government.
As the FIPS point of contact, GAO is requesting you
to provide us a list (name and mailing address) of the
staff member(s) located at the agency, bureau, command,
or office level where management responsibility for data
processing is assigned.
If you are no longer the FIPS point of cont(flact for
your agency, we would appreciate your forwarding this
request to the appropriate individual.
We request the list by December 8, 1976, so that we
can mail the questionnaire before the Christmas holidays.
