SUBJECT : ER IN 69-7, Sabah: Economic Conditions in a
Disputed State
1. In further response to your recent query, I am appending a
list of errors or oversights to be found in this report that could
have been avoided by a working coordination with OBGI. We have no
objection to the piece itself; OER's failure to check it out here,
however, mans our upcoming BGI GM 69-?, Geo ra hic Brief on Sabah,
will conflict with it in certain points of fact and e basis
2. Geography Division analysts are under strict orders to run
their work through any other CIA shop that has competence in the
particular subject matter concerned. In some instances, this repre-
sents formal "coordination;" in the others, our purpose is simply to
ensure the accuracy, completeness, and pertinence of the intelligence
piece.
