Composition of Training Selection Board
1. In November 1964, we brought to the attention of the then
Executive Director - Comptroller a recommended revision of
which is the Headquarters notice establishing the Training
Selection Board and specifying the membership thereof. On
30 November 1964 the then Executive Director-Comptroller
suggested to the then Deputy Director for Support that
be revised along the following lines:
"The Director of Training is designated Chairman
of the Board and will represent the Executive Director-
Comptroller. The Director of Personnel will serve as a
permanent member and represent the DD/ S career service.
The DD/ I, DD/S&T and DD/ P will each designate a
representative who will be a member of one of the career
services under the jurisdiction of that Deputy Director. "
On 8 December 1964 the Executive Officer to the DD/ S advised
the Training Officer of the DD/P the vas being revised
as suggested in the Executive Director's memorandum. He further
advised that sessions of the Board would thereafter be attended by
the newly constituted membership.
2. I bring this matter to your attention in the hope that there
will be an early revision of the membership of the Training Selection
Board. We have checked rather carefully and have been unable to
find the was revised as promised.
