The Washington Chapter of the Society for Advancement of Management
invites you to submit a nomination for its annual MANAGEMENT ACHIEVEMENT
AWARD.' This Award is to give public recognition to persons within the
Washington area who have made especially significant contributions toward the
advancement of management philosophy, research, or practices.
The Award consists of an appropriate certificate for permanent posses-
sion of the awardee. A one-year membership in the Society will accompany the
Award. The person receiving the Award may have made his contribution to
management in government, in private enterprise, or in an educational or re-
search institution. Membership in SAM is not a requirement to be eligible.
You are invited to submit, as a nominee for the Award, the name of a
person in your organization (if government, either career or appointive) who has
made significant accomplishments toward better management. Although only one
nomination is customary, should you feel that two individuals in your organization
are equally eligible to receive the Award, the Committee will consider both.
Nominations should be prepared and submitted in accordance with instructions
contained in the enclosed announcement.
We urge you to participate in this worthwhile endeavor to give public
recognition and honor to individuals who are raking outstanding contributions
in the field of management. ,
