MEMORANDUM. FOR: Mr. John N1. Clarke
Attached is a preliminary report on the aspects
of conversion from the RCA 501 to the IBM 360 and its impact on our
true goal, namely, implementation of the Support management informa-
tion system. Unless the Office of Computer Services can demonstrate
some unusual advantages not now evident, the conversion route appears
to be an unprofitable exercise. Additionally, it would jeopardize time-
wise the management information system.
I ill return on Monday and I propose
to arrange a session with Chuck Briggs, Bob and other interested parties
to consider this proposal.
