1. This memorandum is for your information only and
is a periodic progress report as requested in reference.

13 July 1966, with Messrs. LaPrade and Lippy of VEPCO,
Mr. Weaver, Buildings Manager,' McLean Group, and one of
our electrical engineers was cancelled by VEPCO. The

work and practically every available VEPCO engineer,
including Messrs. LaPrade and Lippy, is tied up with
this project. The purpose of the meeting was to further
discuss and obtain Mr. LaPrade's formal approval of the
scheme of operation proposed by Mr. Suter,' the General
Electric Company Engineer, for the 2-2000 KW generators
in the main powerhouse. We will reschedule the meeting
as soon as possible.
3. As a first step in the ultimate replacement of
the two uninterrupted power sources (UPS), one 200 KW
unit and one 30 KW unit, we have furnished the Engineering
Staff, ' OC,' a draft of our tentative proposal to accomplish
this replacement. OC/E has agreed to consider and study
this proposal,'but they have frankly told us that they
have not fully developed their requirements and that our
proposal will be considered at this time only as a basis
for discussion.
4. We are fully in accord with the position of
OC/E. The planned use of computerized systems in the
Headquarters Signal Center, to which we have been alerted,
