1. of your office called and asked whether
the Fine Arts Commission would be willing to recommend invitin

to set up the contemporary prints in the CIA building in either Novem-
ber or December of this year.
2. Our recommendation at this time is to not accept the
invitation. The reasons for this recommendation are as follows:
a. We have not yet determined upon a
permanent exhibit area although we are working on
that problem.
b. It would seem to us that our first
exhibit would be best one native to the agency.
c. We should be very careful in starting
the business of inviting exhibits into the building
because of the fact that the word gets out and we may
be plagued by requests to exhibit.
In short, we need to go into this exhibit business further.
