It is established that in the presence of small quanti-
ties of antimony (0. 05 mg/1) and cobalt (20 mg/1)
during the electrolytic deposition of zinc an Increase
in polarisation is observed. When cobalt is present in
solutions containing 0. 2 mg/I of antimony. the process
is determined by the rresence of antimony. Antimony.
introduced into the electro!yte either as potassium
antimonyl tartrate (tartar emetic) or as antimony
sulphate, has the same Influence on the course of the Office of Technical Somicow
polarisation curves. It is suggested that small
