BBTRACT
This paper tries to solve the problem-of providing for more helpful,
timely and reliable facts on which to base National Intelligence Estimates.
It defines and discusses the need for authentification of available facts
so that estimates can be more readily appreciated. Suggestions are givenns
as to how to improve material contributed to the NIE's by the agencies
and then the effects bk these suggestions on the research production
staff are discussed. Also included is an organization chart of the DDI
and a listing of the functions 'of Chief of Production, DDI.
