Basic memorandum governing this matter is Secret Memorandum for the Chief, MIS, dated January 1$, 1943, designed to initiate MIS responsibilities as directed in Secret JCS paper 155/4/B, December 23, 1942. Other memoranda and instructions have further implemented MIS action. 2. Exchange of information will be, primarily, in the field covered by the Intelligence Group, MIS, and its Branches, and the Intelligence Service of OSS, viz., R/A, SI and FN BrandB 3. It is desired by the A. C. of S., G-2, that the distribution by MIS of psychologic, political and economic information of the enemy to OSS shall reach its full measure as soon as possible and be maintained without interruption. War Department telegrams bearing on these factors will be distributed in paraphrase form. 4. Map and photo information will be provided b,y each Service to the other in accord with agreements made to meet the requirements of each. 5. Prisoner of war information will be paraphrased before distribution, and will exclude all indications of mechaniesof interrogation and technical and combat data. Other information derived from interrogations will be distributed in such form as appears desirable. 6. Combat information of the enemy will be provided by MIS to OSS by the following mean. A. To Oss Liaison Officer in his personal visits to MIS-IG Situation Room. b. By G-2 (Situation) Reports, c. By MIS Enemy Battle Order Reports - boutine and special reports (with maps when issued) and publications on this subject. 7. Direct contact between the Chief of the Intelligence Group and Deputy Director of OS; for Intelligence and between designated subordinate echelons is authorized. 9.
