The DCI has agreed to John McMahon's suggestion to revise subject regulation to
enable the Agency to retain consultants on panels when they might have unique expertise
that the Agency needs. Would you therefore take the steps necessary to revise Section
to read as follows:
All members of Agency advisory panels and committees will be engaged as
Agency consultants in accordance with the conditions and procedures outlined
below. Membership on an Agency advisory panel or committee is limited to a
term of four years, with extensions permitted when the situation warrants by
approval of the DCI.
