1. Brig. Gen. Paul H. Hodges, USAF, the
current Deputy Director for Operations (Recon-
naissance and Electronic Warfare), Joint Chiefs
of Staff, is soon to be replaced by Rear Admiral
Batzler, currently Captain of the NIMITZ. The JRC
has requested that the Admiral be introduced to
"appropriate" CIA officials who deal in
reconnaissance related matters- 7-ten Gen. Hodges
took over, he met with as then head
of the CTS.)
2. Since Mr. McMahon is now signing off on
the JRC monthly reconnaissance schedules, I have
arranged for a visit here by Adm. Batzler with
Mr. McMahon at 1530, Wednesday, April 7. If you
believe it appropriate for you to attend also,
please let me know.
3. I shall provide you and Mr. ML-Mahon with
a biography on the Admiral when I receive it from
the Pentagon..
