SUBJECT: DCI's Nuclear Intelligence Panel

1. Action Requested: Your approval is requested of the pro-
posal that you meet with your Nuclear Intelligence Panel at an
evening meeting on 5 October and at the conclusion of its 6 October
meeting. 0
2. Background: The next meeting of your Nuclear Intelligence
Panel is scheduled for 5-6 October 1982. It will follow subpanel
meetings on Soviet nuclear testing, EMP and Directed energy weapons,
and Soviet naval nuclear propulsion.

The members have appreciated meeting with you in the past. If
convenient, it is proposed that you meet with the Panel in the
Executive Dining Room on 5 October at 5:15 p.m. (dinner at 6:00 p.m.)
and at the conclusion of the meeting on 6 October in your conference
room at 2:00 p.m. or at a time of your choice.
