Intelligence Publication of Testimony
on Soviet Active Measures
1. As you are aware the House Permanent Select Com-
mittee on Intelligence (HPSCI), having received substantial
testimony on Soviet active measures, intends to make public
an unclassified report on its findings. Concurrently it
will be issuing a classified version. Included in the
unclassified report are Portions of the testimony of KGB
defector

5. It is our understanding that the publication date
could be advanced as early as mid-December if the Chairman
of HPSCI were to apply pressure. If you feel it appropriate
