SUBJECT: House Appropriations Defense Subcommittee Request for
Briefing on El Salvador
1. Chairman Joseph P. Addabbo (D., NY) has requested that you give the
same El Salvador briefing which has been given to the Senate Select Committee
on Intelligence (SSCI) and the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence
(HPSCI) to the House Appropriations Defense Subcommittee Thursday morning,
11 March.
2. Since the Subcommittee has such a strong interest in El Salvador,
I recommend that you agree to appear. This office will make the necessary
