SUBJECT: Prospective SIG Meeting on PRC-Pakistan Nuclear Ties
After the IG Meeting on the IAEA at State yesterday, Deputy
Assistant Secretary (OES) James Devine informed me that the NSC has
asked for a SIG Meeting next week on the subject. Devine said he was
alerted to the request by NSC Staffer Mike Guhin--as of yesterday, no
official notification of the meeting had been received. Devine said
that one of the issues is whether or not US (Westinghouse) technology
can be used in the sale by the UK or France of nuclear power reactors to
