SUBJECT Testimony Before the SAC Subcommittee on Defense Regarding the
National Foreign Intelligence Program Overview - 1 June 1981
1. You are scheduled to appear before the Senate Appropriations Committee
(SAC) Subcommittee on Defense from 9:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. on Monday, 1 June
1981, to give your annual Intelligence Overview for FY-1982. The hearing will
be in Room S-407, The Capitol. A transcript will be taken.
2. The SAC Defense Subcommittee views your appearance as an opportunity
for you to provide a status report on the Intelligence Community, identify
potential problem areas, and outline future requirements. The Subcommittee
has scheduled. several other budget briefings over the next two weeks. These
will deal with individual Intelligence Community programs.
3. Attached are a list of the Defense Subcommittee Members and staff, a
witness list, a copy of your prepared statement, a summary of talking points
for your oral presentation, information sheets on each Member, a list of pos-
sible questions that may be raised by the Subcommittee Members and suggested
responses. _
