Approved For Ease 2002/05/01 : CIA-RDP83B0082306 ADMINISTRATIVE -- INTERNAL USE ONLY `MEMORANDUM FOR: Office of Security Professional Careerists SUBJECT : Physical Security and Investigative Training 1973 1. At a recent combined meeting of the Long-Range Planning Group and the Management Advisory Group, a proposal was made to offer OS Careerists an opportunity to broaden their generalist capa- bilities. It was suggested that the Special. Agents Course and the Physical Security Course attendance be expanded to allow for partici- pation of a limited number of additional professionals who, although they have no immediate need for such training, might wish to broaden their professional capabilities. 2. The Special Agents Course will run from 5 to 23 March, and the 3-week Physical Security Course is tentatively scheduled for May. Consideration will be limited to those professionals who have not previously had these courses. Security Careerists interested in attending either of these courses should make application through channels to their Deputy Director or Staff Chief by 16 February. The memorandum should state the reasons for wishing to attend. If the number of applications exceeds the number of available positions in the courses, the OS Career Service Board will determine who shall attend.
