During May, a member of SSC chaired two (2) meetings of the Community Computer-Assisted Compartmentation Control Working Group. 2. A member of the SSC chaired two (2) meetings of the Compartmenta- tion Subcommittee of SECOM in May. 3. At the request of the /DDO, 25X1 A a member of SSC reviewed drafts of three studies containing sensitive compartmented information concerning Area Intelligence 25X1A Collection and made recommendations or eir proper controls. These studies are issued within compartmented channels by the Critical Collection Problems Committee. 4. The SSC coordinated the return of very sensitive SALT related material from Geneva to Headquarters. 5. During May, the SSC completed a new special oath for compartmented briefings applicable to individuals who require compartmented information during training programs. This eliminates the formality involved with normal briefing and debriefing oaths in certain specific training situations. 6. Copies of a draft of a proposed manual, "Security of COMINT and/or TALENT-KEYHOLE Controlled Information Provided to or Produced by Agency Contractors" prepared by the SSC were distributed this month to interested divisions and staffs of the Office of Security for input and comment prior to its Agency-wide coordination preparatory to its publication. 7. During the month, several members of the Senate Select Committee were given briefings on the control, stamping, receipting and mailing of compartmented materials by a member of SSC. 8. During the month of May, all personnel in CIB completed GIM II User Training (preparation for forthcoming SPECLE II automatic computer operation). Two additional Delta Data Computer terminals were installed in CIB in connection with changeover to SPECLE II. 10. User acceptance testing of SPECLE II was completed with changes in the GIM II programming resulting from the tests. These changes should affect favorably the SPECLE II operation from both a time response by the computer to monetary savings. 11. During Ma CIB added 817 names to the computer to bring SPECLE up to ~~persons on record at the end of the month. There was a total of 1521 cable actions in this branch and 76 briefings and debriefings. Thirteen SPECLE machine runs were supplied to customers this month. 12. Two hundred eighty four (284) CIA employees were indoctrinated on programs constituting 454 compartmented information matters during May 1975. Seventy seven (77) non-CIA individuals were briefed an what constitutes 185 compartmented matters. The largest customer this month was the Senate Select Committee with 19 persons briefed a total of 57 programs.
